Black Cohosh

(Latin Name: Actaea racemosa, formerly Cimicifuga racemosa)

Size: 4oz bag

Brief History & Origin

Black Cohosh is a sacred root of the woodlands, long revered by Native American healers. The Cherokee, Lenape, and Iroquois used it for women’s wellness, calling upon its grounding medicine to soothe the womb and calm the spirit.

Sometimes known as Snakeroot or Fairy Candle for its tall, white flowering spikes that light up shaded forests, Black Cohosh carries the dual energy of protection and gentle transformation—guiding the body through life’s cycles with grace.
